Last Friday I enjoyed doing nothing. Oops just kidding. I did the boring errand thing. I did swing my Dunkin’ Donuts and got an iced coffee. See the above photo and caption. I say no more. (Spoiler: My fantasy did not come true.)
Friday evening looked like this:
Date night while the kids were gone over night. Mitchell (the husband, do I ever use his name?) pulled together a double date night for us with Brad & Rachel. So much fun! Next stop…Grand Cayman! Ok just kidding er dreaming (?).
Then came Saturday:
Cammy B’s first ever basketball game! She was so nervous. My theory is this: She’s a head taller than the other kids, she should be planted under the goal with arms up being the mountain that makes shooting impossible. But apparently that’s a little intimidating for a gentle giant who is hell on wheels to her mom and brother. I want to be hash-tagging this: use the court to release your frustration. However, if she did that that would lead to her being ejected from church ball. And that would be a great burden to bear.
This happened on Saturday too:
Sunday was freaking cold. I think it was seven degrees when I got up.
The kids had a three hour early dismissal for the kids (threat of icy weather -yay it didn’t do a thing.) So I took this time to get a couple new pillows and a small ottoman so my husband can put his feet up when and if he ever decides to sit down and watch some brain mush with me on television.
Two hour delay Tuesday:
I have a great recipe I’ll be sharing with you on another edition of Healthy Girl Happy Girl (if you didn’t catch this week’s post then click here!) soon. But this breakfast casserole (little to no carb) keeps me going all.day.long.
The rest of the week was work and all that jazz. I spent last night working on putting together the freshly repainted tiny master bathroom. It did look like this:
And now it looks like this:
I’m on a mission to read more blogs as I have time. One blog I got to read last week was Beauty & The Beets. Anne Marie has a seven day challenge going on for what I think may be all year.
I always read my Big Sis’s posts on The Blended Blog. For February they are hosting a gift exchange (Valentine’s Day ya know) and I joined.
Oh and I’ve started posting on Sundays. Check out my vie joyeuse post from this past Sunday. I’m sharing the joy in every day from each week! I just had to use some non-ugly French for this!
Now I’m off to get my roots hidden! Have a great weekend!
