First Friday of 2018…
It truly is winter with our highs not going anywhere above the thirties. No snow. I’m just looking for spring.
You know I hate winter.
We rang in the new year like this:
We spent the first day of 2018 doing this:
Can I explain this? He asked me to fix him seconds. DO YOU SEE WHERE HE IS IN PROXIMITY TO THE FOOD? Ok vent over.
The kids did not have to return to school until Wednesday so they were like this:
Chuck E Cheese surprise trip for the kids. Cammy B. requested Mexican for dinner so we trekked to get that for dinner. Unfortunately, my husband had a major case of hives and had to spend an hour at the doctor’s office between these two events. He’s on the mend!
Then Wednesday came. Mama was like this:
I love being home with the kids but it was time to go back to a regular routine of sorts! I had the day off so I ran errands. And obviously drank copious amounts of coffee!
Thursday I was working again. My book is full for the first quarter! That’s great!
And here we are at Friday.
It’s too early for a picture. My word this year (the first time I’m doing this trend) is excitement. I want to be excited about things again so why not choose that word. This weekend I am excited to have a Friday that is childfree (thanks to the Wallaces and my mom and her husband). I’m excited to see my kid play in her first basketball game. I am excited to get my hair color updated. And in keeping with the only true New Year’s Resolution I made – I’m excited to get (more) fresh flowers for the week!
I don’t have many posts for your in January but I can say that the ones I do have are going to be very useful! Be on the look out for a new Healthy Girl series. Also, I’m putting my paying profession on the blog this month so I hope you will check out those posts. Together we will make your home simply fabulous, dahling.
This week I linked with Anne for Currently and posted on New Year’s Day. On Monday I’m linking with Andrea and the TBB girls.
But first…go do your weekend the only way you know how!
