It came and it went. Oh my!
As usual I was running around like a chicken with her head cut off the entire day of the event. I didn’t get the photos I wanted. But here are a few I did manage to take.
We had the BEST group of people. I was so thrilled at how well it went this year. Tons of little cuties and fun adults. Always a major plus.
Rachel brought me this Traminette she had the pleasure of trying earlier in the day on a wine tasting. Generally, I turn away from white wine but y’all….this stuff is legit! I have had traminette wanna-be’s before that made me gag but this is ON POINT!
Huge hits were the cheeseballs – one savory pumpkin cheese ball and one delectable red velvet cheeseball! And when in the South you know somebody better bring some BoJo’s! Way to go Lori! Our table included: cocktail smokies, a veggie tray, brownies, chicken soup, along with the aforementioned yummies!
Boy am I glad I did NOT buy 25 pumpkins! We had fourteen and that was perfect since the kids were really into the carving this year instead of the adults!
Major bummer of the night (that ended our palooza early) – my son tripped over a wire and grabbed a very hot light bulb. This gave his left hand some pretty bad burns and allowed for me a long night of him screaming in pain. His little hand is all blistered up and it literally broke my heart.
BUT when you have amazing guests and you get home from running to Walmart to get Dermaplast for his burns you find that the whole party has been cleaned up inside and outside! I nearly cried. For real.
Seriously – this was probably the last year of Pumpkin Palooza. Next year I’m trying my hand at something new.
It was a good time, I’m thankful for: Lori, Scott, Brad, Rachel, Mia, Josh, and Weston! You are all top notch humans!
