Friday #21

Hello you beautiful THREE DAY WEEKEND!  Come to mama!

This week has been a super busy one and I figured that it would be best to highlight it in pictures.  I normally keep the kids off the blog but this week I’m flaunting them about….especially the little guy because….

The last week of preschool!

Not only did we wrap up another year of preschool – the dude also decided to play barber on his head.  My baby has a buzz cut now.  I’m so sad!  But hey low maintenance!

On the countdown to the end of third grade!

End of Grade testing is next week at my daughter’s school.  This is her first time experiencing it.  I’m anti testing but hey that’s another ball game in itself!  Luckily, she’s a smart kid and not a worry wort when it comes to standardized testing.  We’re both ready for summer break!

Aside from all that….

My to do list has included things like:

  • Fill out and have camp forms notarized (I had no clue where the notaries were! Thanks to my favorite evidence technician I’m headed to the sheriff’s office to have that handle!  Elizabeth the life saver!)
  • Trying out new recipes to showcase here on the blog (coming in June as part of the healthy girl series!)
  • Four miles from my house.

12 miles from our home.  That is a monster.  I’m so glad lives were spared.
  • Praying I doubt sprout feathers, gills, or fins due to all the rain we have had!  Add in a tornado four miles away and um…yeah, check please!!!
  • Rearranging our home a little.  I have a huge list of things I want to accomplish in June!

I started a link up this week…

Save these dates and search terms:

June 22nd – Summer DIY

August 24th – Ending Summer

September 21st – Fall 2017 Fashion Trends

  2. Grade level testing is so stressful! I’m so glad we are done with that for this year. However I’m already stressing about getting the results next month. I cannot believe that tornado was so close to your house that is so scary. I have lived in Texas my entire life and have never experienced a tornado. Have a fabulous weekend!

    1. Oh no you wait a month for results? Girl, here the kids have the results two hours after the test. I’m sure your sweetie did amazing on her’s. You know I didn’t get scared over this tornado and I kept on washing dishes while the phone alerts were going crazy. I guess that was either foolishness or just a force of calm over me. I’m so glad you haven’t had to experience one!!! I was in another one in the late 90’s and it was pretty crazy. ENJOY this weekend 🙂

  3. Your little guy looks adorable with his buzz cut but I agree that I’d internally be crying. I don’t even like taking my littlest to the barber for fear they take too much off. Hope you get to relax and enjoy the weekend!

  4. Oh my gosh that is so close! Scary! I lived in Kansas at one point and never had them that close, but the weather could be crazy. Glad you’re safe.

    Happy Friday!

  5. Testing SUCKS! SUCKS! I hate it. I might even cuss a little about it (ok, I cuss a lot about it). One a more positive note, I cannot wait for the Bad Christmas Gift search and look forward to the link up! I also laughed about your son playing barber, this is something that could happen at my house. I hope you have a great long weekend!

  6. Testing is the worst. We do it every year, just to keep testung anxiety in check, but I certainly dont teach for it and take it lightly. That tornado, UGH! Breaks my heart.
