I don’t read.  I listen.  Does that count?  I am currently reading:

My Not So Perfect Life: A Novel by Sophie Kinsella

She’s one of my favorite authors.  I read all the Shopaholic books and LOVED THEM!  I also read a few of her other books out of the series and LOVED THEM!  Now that I’m listening to this one – I LOVE IT!

This book is on target with today’s society of social media creations of what we want people to think our lives are like.  I am loving this book!

I finished up Truly Madly Guilty.  Gosh it was a long book.  But it was pretty good.  I hate endings that aren’t what I consider “wrapped up.”  Just saying.



Sugar Free is going strong on DAY 5!!!!  This is a MAJOR day for those you in the challenge.  This is the day your bodies are saying – OK!  You shouldn’t have any real cravings for sugar right now and you should be feeling good.  It is normal to see some changes in your skin now too!  Woot woot!


I haven’t mentioned it but you know you should be drinking a lot of water.  I mean water is kind of like the miracle fluid.  Or maybe it is just the miracle fluid.

We haven’t discussed activity.  Your happy little soon to be tight butt better be moving like none other.  How about we set a goal of three miles a day.  After work, before work, put on your kicks and shorts (unless you’re in Maine) and take off.  For you non runners I dare you to add in a burst of running (thirty seconds) every few minutes.

No sugar + physical exertion = Svelte Lady and Stud Muffin man (sans the muffin!)

  1. Good idea…even 30 seconds of running gets that blood a flowing!!! I am still doing my 2 planks everyday coach!!! You know I am a huge SK fan too, she makes me smile but you make me smile more!!! Love ya chicka!!! Have a great day!!!

  2. I need to bite the bullet and start an Audible subscription for these last 2 months of driving to school! It’s been years since I read the original Shopaholic but I remember enjoying it. Today is my rest day in my workouts- hallelujah! Have a great Wednesday!

  3. Oh my goodness, I loved “My Not So Perfect Life” and YES, it made me think about social media. Not shocking, we read two of the same books this month. I like “Truly Madly Guilty” and really enjoyed it, but I agree, I didn’t give it 5 stars because it did seem to not really “wrap up” nicely. But I did love trying to figure out the who and how throughout the book. Have a great one Amanda!
