Saturday & Sunday Health Girl Challenge!

Its the weekend!!!  That means the challenge continues.

Let’s recap:

You’re drinking water, hot tea, black coffee.  Keep that going.

You’re allowed one red wine glass or one vodka water per day.  Keep that going.

You’re getting in as much walking as humanly possible for you.  Keep that going.

You are not eating pasta but you can eat zoodles.  Keep that going.

If you’re doing this with me then you are rocking it out, sister.

Weekends are times that are easy to mess up making some changes.  Let’s not let that happen to you.  This weekend I’m challenging you do these things:

Go grocery shopping but shop SMART!  Load your cart with veggies, fruits, lean meat, fish, heart healthy nuts, and a bottle of red wine.

I thought since most you grocery shop over the weekend I would give you some meal ideas for the week ahead.  I have several recipes on hand but seriously, I didn’t want to type them out on a graphic.  So I went to Pinterest to find them to share with you.

I like to do meatless Monday so here’s a great recipe for dinner.  This is Greek Salad and after I reviewed the recipe I was down.  Often times I find Damn Delicious Damn Delicious Damn Delicious to have some of the greatest recipes!

Greek Salad - This healthy Greek salad is absolutely amazing when tossed in a light and refreshing lemon vinaigrette!:

Fish is your friend.  (We all just had a picture of Nemo shoot through our brains!)  Halibut is delicious and healthy and served with lots of veggies its a dream dinner.  It is also a totally inexpensive dream dinner.  Do you take Fish Oil daily?  I hope so!

We must have a chicken dish on the menu.  How about a Mexican Infused Cilantro Lime chicken?  Mmmmm.  This is actually not Mexican at all but Mediterreanean.  You will see a lot of Med recipes on the blog this month.

Around my house this week we’re fueling up at breakfast with oatmeal loaded down with bananas, strawberries, and peaches.

Lunches are salads and tuna all.week.long.

Of course I will make something sweet but I better wait to save that one for you for next Tuesday.  Here’s a hint….it’s another trifle dish.

Ok guys you have this!  Get those steps in this weekend, drink that water, enjoy that red wine, and have a fun trip to the store to buy HEALTHY & SATISFYING FOOD!
