Friday night *a week ago* my bestie and I FINALLY got together. She came down and we had a wonderful evening of Michael’s, Target, Shoe Carnival, and finished it up at Brothers for dinner at 9:15. I cannot believe that she and I haven’t seen each other in four months. Our next date is scheduled for March. The hubs took the kids to a newer restaurant in town and to Lowes (shocker.) They bought little wooden models and made them while I was gone.
Last weekend I was so not me. Ever do that? Decide to do something so out of your ordinary? I spent Saturday – all day Saturday – in my pajamas. The weather was so gross, my husband had to work, so the kids and I stayed in our pajamas all day. The kids played on their various forms of tech and watched kid shows. I watched documentaries, Fuller House, and read. It was simply glorious. I enjoyed it too much.
The in-laws kept the kids for us on Saturday night. We headed out to PF Changs and ate too much good food! Major score? The in-laws said they would watch the kids once a month for us. They have said it before and it never came to fruition so….
Did you see my Patriots on Sunday? I’m so excited. I kept screaming HOGAN! I also watched the game alone. I was toying with the idea of a Super Bowl party but to remain spend free I will digress. I think…
Monday I slept two hours later than the alarm.
Tuesday I got sick as hell. It was something I ate because I was the only one to be on the verge of death from 8pm-midnight. Thanks free Sheetz burger and or avocado. Those are the kinds of reminders I need to not sway from my regular diet. I can admit I have been super bad lately. I must quit making chocolate cakes “for my family.”
My daughter is now registered for summer camp. Her first overnight, week long camp! That kid is so excited. She was also surprised by her youth leader with a new Bible on Wednesday. She was complaining to me that she didn’t understand her Bible (written pretty much like any standard one) and she really wanted one like they use at church. I had planned to get her one for Easter but her youth leader surprised her with one! It was such a sweet moment, she was so excited!
We rounded out this week (Thursday) with a fresh hair cut for the little man, exercise, and I may have made a batch of peanut butter cookies (1 cup of creamy peanut butter, 1 cup of sugar, 1 egg, and a teaspoon of vanilla flavoring! 350 degrees for 6 minutes, you’re welcome!) because I feel the need to be very baker-esque due to cold temperatures returning. Oh and I may have purchased another two boxes of those damned Girl Scout cookies — Elizabeth’s FAULT!
And that is our life right now! LOL
This week on the blog:
Happy weekending, friends!
